The company’s history started 10 years ago with Powertools development for the company Bosch. Test benches and processes were developed for those projects, which is still today the main activity from the Dresden based company EMEC-Prototyping.
In their anniversary year, they moved the company headquarter and test laboratory to a new location. The move enables the expansion of test capacities and the testing scope of electromechanical systems.
EMEC’s core business is the development of products and customer-specific testing technology. Due to the rising demand, EMEC decided to expand its test services and thus cover a wider and more flexible range of testing technics. The new location offers 500 m² and good working conditions for test laboratory, workshop and office.
The testing technology for the laboratory has been extended to include endurance, component, engine comparison and special testing processes such as R200 and WMTC. The range of tests includes electromechanical and mechanical durability of pedelecs, e-bikes and all L standard vehicles.
Accredited tests are performed in cooperation with testing institutes. A further expansion of the laboratory is already planned. Beside the installation of a special wet and dirt lab, an outdoor test track is currently being implemented.
