About us: EMEC's mission

As product developers of PowerTools for Bosch, we set foot in the world of technology innovation and laid the foundation for our expertise in the field of electromechanical product development and customer-specific testing technology.

Thanks to the skills we acquired and the way of thinking and working inspired by the large corporation, we were able to successfully enter the field of electric bicycles. In addition, we expanded our range to include testing services, which, alongside product development, represent another key pillar of our services. Right from the start, we were able to position ourselves with our innovative products and test benches with a number of well-known bicycle and vehicle manufacturers. In 2010, we also moved into our new company headquarters.

With our cross-thematic expertise, we ventured into new areas, such as the development of stationary systems for the food industry. This allowed us to expand our innovation portfolio - a step that may seem surprising at first glance. However, the synergies are manifold and our interdisciplinary expertise allows us to master complex challenges even in such traditional sectors. Our ability to develop tailor-made solutions across industries sets us apart from conventional providers and consolidates our position as an innovation leader.

Having our own production capacities enables us to respond immediately and flexibly to customer inquiries and change requests. This autonomy in production not only gives us greater agility in implementation but also strengthens our ability to implement individual solutions efficiently and precisely.

Our innovative system for removing cheese rinds won second place in the Saxon State Prize in 2017. This success underlines the importance of our work, which seamlessly combines electronics, mechanics, and software to create significant added value in automated production and measurable quality in the food sector. The modular design and fully automated usability of our systems enable fast in-house processes and achieve a rapid return on investment for our customers.

As an expert in the field of connectivity and digitalization, we presented our expertise on current and future requirements at the Eurobike trade fair, the central platform of the bike and future mobility universe. This opportunity allowed us to present and position ourselves as a pioneer in the development of future-oriented technologies to an international audience.

With so much innovation and constant growth, you naturally need more space. To celebrate our 10th anniversary, we expanded our premises and moved into our new headquarters.  This allowed us to expand our testing technology once again. We have added endurance, component, and motor comparison tests as well as special test procedures such as R200 and WMTC - a significant change in the test procedures for speed pedelecs.

The introduction of the WMTC ensures that our test benches can efficiently and precisely cover all required test scenarios for vehicles up to 45 km/h in accordance with the L standard, including all tests in accordance with EN15194 and the R200 test.
